Joelle Jahn - Building Performance Specialist, WSP
Joëlle Jahn is a Building Performance Specialist and Passive House Expert with WSP’s Built Ecology group. Currently, her unique position at WSP interfaces with architects, developers, city officials, and fellow engineers to deliver high performance buildings that respond to government and corporate mandates for climate action. Together with her team, Joëlle leverages parametric building analysis to develop integrated passive design solutions that respond to climatic, site, and programmatic conditions. She leads her team’s Zero Carbon Building Analysis and the PHIUS certification process.
Joëlle holds a Masters of Design Studies in Energy and Environment from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design where her research in parametric analysis and climate responsive design began. She received her Bachelors in Design and Environmental Analysis and Minor in Architecture from Cornell University. Joëlle is a published author for the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) in which her design research seeks to influence passive strategies for climate responsive emergency shelter design around the world. She is a certified Interior Designer (NCIDQ), PHIUS Certified Passive House Consultant, LEED Accredited Professional, and WELL Accredited Professional.
