Ben Kalter is an Associate on the Impact Investing Team at Nuveen, which invests in later-stage growth equity deals that have intentional and measurable environmental or social impact. He is responsible for identifying, executing, and managing direct private equity investments in key thematic impact sectors in both developed and developing markets. Prior to joining the organization, Ben was an Analyst in the Manager Research Group at BNY Mellon, where he focused on evaluating alternative asset managers with a focus on impact investments.  Ben has over five years of experience in investment management and portfolio due diligence.

Ben graduated with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Entrepreneurship from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from Cornell University and was a Roy H. Park Leadership Fellow and an Environmental Finance and Impact Investing Fellow.
