Drury MacKenzie - Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies, Hobart and William Smith Colleges

Drury MacKenzie has developed several entrepreneurial ventures and has worked across several geographies, Haiti, Africa, LATAM, Europe and Asia. Inspired by her time as a Peace Corps volunteer in Haiti, much of her past work focused on developing technology and business models to serve off-grid energy needs, one of which resulted in $8 mil investment. She has also served as a consultant for innovation strategies and business development. At Avangrid Networks (Iberdrola’s US utilities), Drury has led a number of smart grid platform pilots, from setting the vision and strategy through to implementation. Projects include a range of technologies, integrations and use cases, such as aggregated BTM batteries, customer segmentation and engagement, GreenButton Connect, TOU rates, EV coordinated charging/deadline differentiated pricing, NY joint utility blockchain working group.


Drury has a BA in Economics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges (junior year at Saint Andrews University, Scotland) and a MBA from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.
