Adrienne Downey - Principal Engineer of Offshore Wind, NYSERDA

Adrienne Downey is the Principal Engineer for Offshore Wind with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)’s Large-Scale Renewables Team.  In this role she is responsible for running New York State’s procurement efforts for offshore wind, including the recent procurement of 1,696MW. In addition, Adrienne is responsible for NYSERDA’s stakeholder engagement efforts that will be critical in delivering the state’s nation-leading commitment of 9GW of offshore wind by 2035.

 

Adrienne joins NYSERDA’s Offshore Wind effort from a decade’s experience in on-shore wind, working internationally in Europe and across Canada across a range of roles in industrial and production engineering, supply chain localization and development strategy, operations management, business development, and policy and government affairs. Adrienne has also worked in consulting practice in recent years focusing on energy, infrastructure, sustainability, climate adaptation and resiliency projects in New York City.
