Brian Warshay - Principal on Energy Storage and Distributed Energy Resources, DNV GL

Brian graduated from Cornell in 2006, double majoring in Natural Resources and Environmental Engineering Technology. He received his masters degree in Engineering Systems and Management from the Masdar Institute in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2011 and has since been researching and evaluating energy storage products, policies, and projects. He spent four and a half years as a market research analyst and three and a half years at SolarCity and subsequently Tesla. At Tesla, Brian supported the development of virtual power plant projects, worked on energy policy, and developed tools to evaluate the economics of the solar roof, electric semi-truck, Powerwall, and Powerpack. He recently joined the energy consulting group at DNV GL as a Principal on the Energy Storage and Distributed Energy Resources team where he focuses on building the strategy and advisory business around the company's independent engineering and due diligence expertise. Brian also sits on the board of the Cornell Engineering Alumni Association (CEAA).
