Neil Mattson
Associate Professor and Director of Cornell’s Controlled Environment Agriculture group
Neil joined Cornell University in 2007, having previously earned a PhD from the University of California Davis and M.S. at the University of Minnesota. He is currently an Associate Professor and Director of Cornell’s Controlled Environment Agriculture group. His research focuses on the physiology of plants in controlled environments especially strategies to reduce energy use, LED lighting, nutrient management, and abiotic stress physiology. He has authored 54 peer review journal articles and given more than 250 outreach presentations to 10,000+ agriculture industry members.
