Ricardo Hernandez Astigarraga

Ricardo Hernandez Astigarraga is an Energy Professional with 20 years of experience trading clean fuels and LNG at a global scale. He has held various rolls in energy activities such as gasoline blending, physical and financial hedging, cargo arbitrage, business origination and book leader. Ricardo started his carrier working for Mexico’s National Oil Company PEMEX’s International Division PMI, and later joined Coastal Corporation Refining in Houston. In 2000 he went on to become the Vice President for Clean Products at Noble Group in Connecticut and later managed the U.S. distillate book for Itochu Petroleum Company for San Francisco and London. In the last 12 years he has held various positions at Chevron Corporation, focusing on business development in Latin America and is currently the Head of business development for Gunvor U.S.A. Ricardo is a graduate from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) in Mexico City, with a major in Economics
