John Stevens
Dr. John Stevens works in Energy and Environmental Economics, Inc. (E3)’s resource planning group to anticipate how generation resources and electricity markets will change as the grid evolves and more renewables come online. His past and current E3 projects include analyzing market opportunities for green hydrogen as an energy storage medium in the power sector and developing models to derive ancillary services needs using machine learning. Prior to working at E3, Dr. Stevens worked in the US DOE’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office on the H2@Scale project, which targeted reductions in green hydrogen production costs. Dr. Stevens completed his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley working on Multiphysics modeling of solar fuels production devices
